Izmailovsky Park of Culture and Recreation

Izmailovsky Park is your green oasis within walking distance from the Vega Hotel

One of Moscow's largest parks, Izmailovsky Park of Culture and Recreation, is located just a few minutes from the Vega Hotel. Located on 310 hectares of picturesque natural forest, it combines rich history, natural diversity and modern entertainment. Back in the 17th century, there were royal "Marvelous Gardens" with Italian terraces, decorative chambers and one of the largest menageries in Europe. Today, the park is a specially protected natural area with clean air, century—old trees and an abundance of greenery, where everyone will find something to do: from walking by the picturesque Round Pond to visiting the museum of military equipment "Ploshchad Muzhestva" and Moscow's oldest Large Ferris Wheel.

The park is divided into Central and Northern parts, each of which offers its own opportunities for recreation and active leisure. Here you will find attractions for children and adults, workout areas, tennis courts, a boat station, summer stages with concerts and dances, as well as cultural spaces - Art Park and Biblio Park, where exhibitions, workshops and summer reading rooms are held. In winter, guests can enjoy the Silver Ice skating rink and ski trails. Staying at the Vega Hotel, you get the key to one of the most atmospheric and multifaceted parks in the capital — right around the corner!
